Bioenergetic Workshops "The Masters Series" at Dr. Lowen's Residence
September 25th - 27th, 2009

Leslie Case and Alexander Lowen in 1993
Dr. Lowen's Residence in New Canaan, Connecticut
To honor and continue the profound legacy of Alexander Lowen, The Alexander Lowen Foundation is hosting a series of workshops at Dr Lowen’s residence in New Canaan, Connecticut where he lived, worked, and practiced for over 50 years. The house is the location of the “Masters Series,” emphasizing Bioenergetics Analysis as Alexander Lowen taught it. We are exceptionally pleased that Leslie Case, Ph.D. will be leading our first workshop. Leslie brings a profound respect for bioenergetics. Her particular interests have been in integrating early development issues into the process of bioenergetic therapy, focusing on the importance of analysis for the client as well as  work with the body, and seeing the relationship between therapist and client as a major part of healing for the client, and for the therapist if he or she is open to it. Leslie is a psychologist in private practice in West Hartford, CT and faculty member (Emeritus) for the International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis. She has served as the institute's vice president of training, chair of its faculty, and editor of it's journal. Her own contributions to the publication were the essays: "The Eyes and Sexuality: A Personal Tale" and "How Trust Becomes Distrust and Other Perils of Countertransference."

Leslie has offered bioenergetic training and workshops in the U.S., Brazil and Italy for more than thirty years and has been privileged to assist Alexander Lowen for many of those years at workshops in St. Lucia and Pawling, New York.
